I have a similar problem to the previous, and have tried the same resolutions to no success.
I installed ODO 2.1 which I installed on a new Palm CENTRO. I can not get it to sync. The conduit is there, it is pointing at the correct database file. I've installed and removed and reinstalled this software, still to no success.
There is no detail for it in the sync log either. Anything else I can try?
Thanks, Bob
Hi Bob,
Have you tried following the migration instruction in the FAQ section of the manual? When moving to a new PDA you need to setup the ODO User ID and perform a Desktop Overrides Handheld sync. Also make sure you have installed ODO to the main memory, it will not sync correctly if installed to a memory card.
After the Hotsync, does the ODO Conduit still appear in the Hotsync list?
Regards
Stephen
Thanks Stephen,
I have tried those instructions. I noticed just now that the conduit is missing when I open the Hotsync application. This did happen before during this installation.
The user ID on both platforms is set to the default ODO. ODO is installed into the main memory of the Centro, and not the SIM card. What else can I tell you?
Stephen,
AFter reinstalling the conduit, here is waht the log looks like, there is not mention of "Ok ODOCond";
HotSync session completed with errors on 05/12/08 07:15:39
If ODO is not listed in the log and missing from the conduit list then there is a problem with the installation. This can happen for a number of reasons; Vista UAC turned on, previous installs of Palm Desktop in different locations etc.
To fix this perform a search on your PC for the Hotsync.exe application, it should be in a folder under Program Files depending on where you installed it. Then copy the ODO.dll file from the ODO PC install directory (C:\Program Files\ODO PC by default) to the same folder as Hotsync.exe, repeat for all instance of Hotsync. Restart Hotsync and check that the ODO conduit is registered and try the sync again.
If the ODO conduit does not sync then you may be missing some system files (MFC), let us know and we'll talk you through how to test for this.
