Can't update VISTA laptop from PALM ODO 2.2.0

During the hotsync operation the hotsync temporarily freezes when it gets to the ODO update. Then it starts up again and finishes the hotsync operation and the LOG states that ODO sync is okay.

However, my PALM T/X has 531 records (51 of which are new). My laptop states that the ODO program on the laptop has only 480 records (none of which are new). How do I get the laptop's program to recognize all the records that are on the handheld?

Re: Can't update VISTA laptop from PALM ODO 2.2.0

Hi jfodge,

Sync issues such as these can occur on any OS and not restricted to Vista. There are a few possible causes:

  1.  You can moved or restored the ODO.mdb on your PC thus removing the records after they were synced
  2. You have changed your ODO User ID after entering records. Only records with the current ODO User ID will be synced to the PC. Refer to the FAQ section of them manual for fix up details.
  3. You are syncing the PDA to a different ODO.mdb database then used for the ODO PC application

To try and resolve the issue try performing Handheld Overwrites Desktop sync for ODO to reset the data on your PC. If you have MS Access installed also open up the ODO.mdb and check what records are in the ODO and ODOCond tables and their User ID values.

Let us know how you go with these suggestions.

Regards

Stephen
