We'd just to mention that Times Professional is supported on all versions Vista but you may need V1.4 or above to ensure SQL Express is installed correctly. If you already have SQL installed you can install any version of Times Desktop.
One point to be aware of is Vista's new virtualisation store. Updates to the configuration settings used by Times Desktop will be stored in the virtualstore folder and not the original install folder as intended. Although this does not cause any problems to the application, you will have problems upgrading to a later release as the files stored in the virtualstore will not be updated by the installer.
If you are not running Times Desktop as an administrator and have UAC turned on then after updating Times Desktop you will most likely receive a very long error message relating to files which could not be loaded and the application will then exit.
No need to panic, the solution is simple. Open up a windows explorer and copy the folder path below into the address bar:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files
Once in this folder highlight and delete the Times Desktop folder. That's it. Simply start the application again and it should load normally.
If you have any other Vista issues we'd love to hear about them. Please post your issues here and we'll investigate where necessary.
Cheers
