We have received a number of emails from users trying to install all components to a memory card. This appears to work OK on WM5 devices but fails on 2003SE.

From tests on 2003 SE devices it appears that the SQL Client 2 and SQL Mobile 2005 components must be installed to the main memory. The Compact Framework 2 SP1 and Times application can be installed to a memory card.You must install the components in two steps:

1. Run CESetup and select the .Net Framework and Times application only, click Finish to install the components. Select the required memory card and complete the install.
2. Run CESetup again and select only the SQL Client and SQL Mobile components, click Finish to install the components. Select the main memory as the install location and complete the install

Some devices also have problems reading the Times database from a memory card and report an Unspecified Error message when starting the application. If you receive this then move your database to the main memory and restart the application.
