re:desktop version
Hi Laith, Thank you for your interest in Times. Please find below answers to your questions: 1. Network Sync. Yes the Times application can sync across any type of network as long as the PDA can resolve the address / IP to the SQL server. It does not require Active Sync to perform the sync, although this is the standard approach. Note there are security consideration of exposing the SQL server to a public network and you may also wish to consider a VPN 2. The license for Times is per user at US$59.95. If the same user will be using the desktop and PDA they only require one license each. 3. Vista support is still not guaranteed yet as a number of components used from Microsoft have not yet been updated to be Vista compatible, particularly SQL Server SP1. There is an update coming out soon which we will pass on to make Times fully Vista compatible If you have other question please contact support directly at support@comit.com.au

Serial Key
Hi Hank, Times can only run from the main memory so please move the application and data files back to the main memory. We have sent you your serial key via email. Hope this gets you up and running again

Serial Key
I purchased TimesSetupFull from Palm Gear for the Palm TX. It has the Palm Application and desktop. I moved the application to the memory card and it is now asking for the Serial Key. I don't recall recieving a Serial Key from Palm Gear. How do I register my copy with you to get the Serial Key - it was the version for 29.95. Thanks in advance

Move data to new machine
Hi Tim,The easiest way to move data between systems is to perform an override sync from your PDA to the new SQL server instance. The desktop database is not designed to be moved or synced to other SQL databases (although with a will SQL knowledge it can be moved). The sync process only works between the PDA and a SQL server instance. To do this make sure all your data in on your PDA. Then connection the Times Desktop application to the new SQL server instance, it will create the database on the new server if not present. Then update the connection settings on your PDA to point to the new server name and perform an Upload Override Sync. All data will then be copied to the new SQL server. Make sure that the Desktop database has SQL logons and TCP Network enabled otherwise you will not be able to connect from your PDA. Note after performing this you should only sync with the desktop machine as the ID's on the records will no longer be in sync with the database
