re: Times for Android
Hi Tim, Android is on our list of operating systems for future support. As you may see from our prior response are waiting for the sync framework to mature as without this we can not offer desktop sync support. We will re-assess android again later this year. Regards ComIT Solutions Pty Ltd

re: New version 1.5.4 of Times Desktop
Michael, It looks like you database file has become corrupt. To resolve this we need to create a new database file by following the steps below: 1. Turn off the SQL Express Service using the windows Services control panel. a. Click Start, Run and type in services.msc and click OK b. Locate and click on the SQL Server (SQLExpress) line c. Click Stop in the toolbar 2. Start Times Desktop, it will complain that it can no find the server. Click OK to display the connection settings 3. Change the Database Name to something other than Times. i.e. TimesDB 4. Start the SQL Express service again using the windows Services control panel 5. Click Save on the Times connection settings. The new database will be created and Times Desktop will open 6. Use the Tools /Import Database function to restore your data from your last Export backup. If you do not have a backup then use an Upload Override sync from your PDA to restore the data. Remember to change the database name on your PDA to

re: HotSynce Manager 7.0.2
Hank, This issue can occur if the conduit does not copy in to the Hotsync folder correctly. Please locate the folder which contains Hotsync.exe on your PC and copy the TimesCond.dll from the Times install folder into the same directory as the Hotsync.exe. If you have multiple copies of the Hotsync.exe file please copy TimesCond.dll into each of them. Restart Hotsync Manager and you should be able to sync. HotSynce Manager 7.0.2
I installed a new hard drive, reloaded XP Pro SP3. Installed Times on system but cannot get conduit to install correctly. All data is on Palm and I selected Palm to overright desktop but it will not sync. When I check settings in hotsync manager - Times does not show as application. I tried to run ReinstallConduit.bat and it will appear in application list of hotsync manager but still will not syncronize between Palm T/X and Desktop - any ideas? Thanks in advance

re: Data Base Connection Error/ System Update Failed.
Hi Brendan, If you have already installed the Times Desktop once and then reinstall SQL Server, the original Times database will still be on your hard drive. This will stop Times Desktop creating a new database and thus potentially deleting all your existing data. If you refer to the FAQ section of the Times Desktop user manual you will find a sub section titled “Create Database Failed”. If you do not need the data on your PC then follow the instructions to delete the existing data files (Times.mdf and Times.ldf) and then start Times Desktop again. If this does not resolve the issue please send a screen shot of the complete error to support@comit.com.au and we’ll assist further. Best regards ComIT Solutions Pty Ltd

RE: Data base connection error
Hi Brendan, When you first start the Times Desktop application the system checks the following three things. 1) Does the SQL Server specified in the connection settings existing. 2) Does the database specified in the connection settings exist . 3) Is the database the correct version for the Times Desktop application. When you first install Times Desktop or change the connection settings, step two will fail as the database has not yet been created. The message "Server found but cannot connect to Times DB database. Do you wish to create the database using the current settings" will then displayed. Assuming you are connected to the correct SQL Server then simply click Yes. Otherwise click No to update the settings again. See the “Completing the Installation” section of the Times Desktop User Manual for more details. Once the Times database has been created this message should not appear again. Regards ComIT Solutions Pty Ltd

Data base connection error
Mr. Carter I am getting a data base connection error. "Server found but cannot connect to Times DB database." The data connection settings are consistent with those outlined in the manual. Would you please provide me with the procedure to fix this problem. Moreover, inasmuch as I have years of my time records in the data base what is prudent practice to insure that the data base is not lost. I am operating Windows Vista. As always, I appreciate your help. Respectfully Brendan
